The story of Mulingai, as it happens

Where we came from, why we build what we build, and what we learn along the way.

We updated our Terms and our Privacy notice

On 21 October 2026 we updated our Terms of Service and our Privacy notice. They now cover every product in the family, the passes and the gifts that come with them, and the text of a session is kept for up to 180 days. Here is what changed, in plain words.

How we decide what to build next

Almost everything we built in 2026 began with something a church told us, usually on a Monday, after a Sunday that did not go as planned. Here is how we listen, and four changes that came straight from it.

Who to write to at Mulingai, and who reads it

A person reads every message we receive. Here is who is on the team, what each of us looks after, and which address gets your question to the right person fastest.

Churches: let us work together

We are ready to work with churches, church networks and denominations, in more ways than a sign up. A free start, a place in the Pentecost Program, an invitation to another church, a testimony, or a partnership across a whole network. Here is each of them.

One Mulingai account for everything we make

Every Mulingai product has its own website, but there is only one account. Signing up, signing in, payments, invoices and dashboards all live on mulingai.com. This is how it works, and why we built it that way.

Why we sponsor the translation of Christian conferences

Each season we carry the translation for a number of Christian conferences, camps and gatherings, and in return the conference names us as its translation sponsor. Here is why we do it, what it involves, and how to tell us about yours.

One year since our doors opened

On 24 September 2025 mulingai.com opened for early access. A year later, churches in many countries use what we build. These are the moments that mattered most in that first year, in the order they happened.

Our promise to churches: no pressure, no lock in

A church should be able to try MulingStream, use it when it needs it, and stop without a phone call. These are the promises we make to every church, and keep.

Why being a Danish company matters to you

Mulingai ApS was founded in Denmark on 10 January 2025. That is more than an address: it decides which laws protect your data, which rights you have as a buyer, and what the price on our pages includes. Here is what it means for you.

Businesses and organisations: partner with Mulingai

Event organisers, production companies, venues, agencies and anyone who brings people together in more than one language: we are ready to work with you. Here is what a partnership with Mulingai can look like.

One company, a website for each product

Mulingai began with one product and one website. Now there is a family of products, and each one has its own website under the Mulingai name, while your account stays in one place. Here is why we made that choice and what it means for you.

Why we always say our translation is made by machine

MulingStream translates with artificial intelligence, and we say so everywhere: in our terms, in our privacy notice, and to the people running a room. Here is why we think every listener deserves to know, and what we do to make the translation worthy of their trust.

A company built by Christians, open to everyone

Mulingai is a company, not a church and not a ministry. It was built by Christians, it began in a church, and churches are where we serve first. And the same product welcomes every room where people need to understand each other. Here is how those two things fit together.

Why Mulingai, and why a flame

Every name and every logo is a small promise. Ours were chosen in the first days, long before there was a company to put them on: a name the code carried from its first afternoon, and a flame with a voice inside it.

10 January 2025: Mulingai is founded

Three months of evenings and weekends had become a working prototype. On 10 January 2025 it became a company: Mulingai ApS, founded in Denmark, with one conviction from the start: language should never keep anyone from the message. From our journal, published the day our site opened.

3 October 2024: the first line of code

It started with an interpreter feed that could not keep up, in a church in Denmark, on 11 August 2024. Seven weeks later, on the afternoon of 3 October 2024, the first line of code was written, and the project already had a name: Mulingai. From our journal, published the day our site opened.

11 August 2024: how Mulingai started

On a Sunday morning in a church in Denmark, my wife could not follow the translation, and she switched it off. That was the moment the idea of MulingStream came to me, and the moment Mulingai really began. From our journal, published the day our site opened.
