People say personal things in the rooms that use Mulingai: sermons, prayers, vows, questions they would not ask out loud in another language. This page says what we keep, for how long, where it is, and how you can see it or have it deleted.

This notice covers mulingai.com, mulingstream.com, mulingverse.com and the rooms, apps and services on them (the “Services”).
When a church, a company or another organisation opens a room and invites people into it, that organisation decides why the room exists and who is in it. For what happens inside that room, the organisation is the controller and we process the data on its behalf, as its “processor”.
If you have a question about a room you listened to, you can ask the organisation that ran it, or ask us and we will pass it on. Organisations that need a data processing agreement can ask us for one.
We collect only what we need to run the Services, and nothing we do not use.
We never record the speaker’s voice. It is carried to our translation engine as it is spoken, turned into text and translated, and it is not stored anywhere, by us or by our technology partners.
We do not ask for sensitive information. A sermon or a prayer can of course touch on faith, health or family, and the text of a session can therefore contain it. That is one reason the text is only kept for a short time and is deleted with the room.
We do not use personal data for advertising, we do not build advertising profiles, and we do not sell personal data to anyone.
Mulingai’s translation engine combines our own software with carefully chosen technology partners for speech, translation and voice. They receive the audio and text of a room only while it is live, only to produce the translation, and only under written data processing agreements that forbid any other use.
We also use partners for hosting, payments, email and website statistics. We share with each of them only what their part of the work needs. We disclose data to authorities only when the law requires it.
Our servers and those of our partners are in the European Union and the United States.
When personal data leaves the EU and EEA, it is protected by the safeguards EU law provides for, such as the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses or the EU US Data Privacy Framework. You can ask us for more detail about the safeguard that applies.
You can ask to see the personal data we hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, to receive it in a portable format, to restrict how we use it, and to object to a use based on our legitimate interest. Where we rely on your consent, you can withdraw it at any time.
Write to [email protected]. We answer within one month, and we may ask you to confirm who you are first.
You can also complain to a data protection authority. In Denmark that is Datatilsynet, www.datatilsynet.dk.
If you live in California or another US state with privacy laws, you have similar rights to know, correct and delete. We do not sell or share personal information for cross-context advertising.
The Services are not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal data. If you think a child has given us personal data, write to us and we will delete it.
All data is encrypted on its way to and from us. Access inside Mulingai is limited to the people who need it for their work. No system is perfectly secure, and if a breach ever affects you, we will tell you as the law requires.
The translations and the translated voices in a room are produced by machine, using artificial intelligence. We do not make decisions about you by automated means that have legal or similarly significant effects.
When we change this notice, we change the date at the top. When a change is significant, we tell account holders by email before it takes effect. Earlier versions are available on request.
