How we decide what to build next

Almost everything we built in 2026 began with something a church told us, usually on a Monday, after a Sunday that did not go as planned. Here is how we listen, and four changes that came straight from it.

We listen first

We do not decide what to build in a meeting room. We decide it after listening: to the pastor who writes on Monday morning, to the listener who leaves a few words after a session, to the church that tells us what it needs before Christmas. A person reads every one of those messages.

When the same need comes up twice, it goes on the list. When it costs a church a service, it goes to the top.

When it costs a church a service, it goes to the top.

Four changes that came from churches

A day that really is a day. A church on the other side of the Atlantic held a Saturday evening banquet on a Day Pass, and the pass ended in the middle of it, because a "day" was counted in the wrong time zone. In September 2026 we changed the Day Pass to 24 hours from the moment it starts, wherever the church is.

A pass for the smallest budget. Some churches told us that even one Service Pass was a lot for one guest on one Sunday. In September 2026 we added the Hour Pass: one hour, for the church that needs just that.

A pass that can follow the service. A church's week came to an end in the middle of a service, and it could not simply move on to its next pass. In October 2026 we made running passes possible to move: a pass that is running can be moved to another room in the same account, and the next pass can take over.

A pause that costs nothing. Speakers asked for a way to pause the translation during a song or a break without ending the session. In October 2026 Speaker Mute arrived: while the speaker is muted, the listeners see that the room is paused, and no credits are used.

How the rest of the list is made

Not everything comes from one church. Some changes come from patterns across many rooms: prayer, where people leave long pauses between short phrases, now reads as the sentence that was meant. Some come from our own conviction that a thing should be simpler, like the pricing change of July 2026.

But the test is always the same: does it help a person in the room hear the whole message, or a church run its gathering with less worry? If it does neither, it waits.
