One year since our doors opened

On 24 September 2025 mulingai.com opened for early access. A year later, churches in many countries use what we build. These are the moments that mattered most in that first year, in the order they happened.

24 September 2025: the doors open

Our site opened for early access on 24 September 2025. Behind it were a year of evenings and weekends, a first line of code on 3 October 2024, and a company founded on 10 January 2025. In front of it was the question every new thing has to face: would anyone use it?

Autumn and winter: testing on real Sundays

The first months were spent in real rooms. Every service taught us something: about fast preachers, about Scripture quoted from memory, about guests who arrive late and still want to follow. We changed something almost every week.

17 February 2026: the first church pays

Our first paying customer was a church in Vancouver, Canada, nine hours behind us, which set it up on its own and trusted it would be there when the pastor started to speak. It was. We told that story on the MulingStream blog.

The first church to pay for MulingStream was one we could not walk into.

Spring 2026: Smart Hints, and a family of products

On 19 March 2026 Smart Hints went live: short explanations that appear for the listener when the speaker mentions a name, a place or a verse that needs one. In April MulingDisplay brought the translation to the screen at the front of the room, and we decided that each product would get its own website under the Mulingai name, with one account behind all of them.

Summer 2026: simpler pricing

On 22 July 2026 four plans became one simple idea: credits are the only unit, and every feature is included for everyone. Pay as you go, or a membership.

September 2026: church passes

From the first Sunday in September, churches could buy passes for the gathering instead of counting credits: one pass covers everyone who listens, however many come. And today, on our first anniversary, MulingDisplay gains a subtitles mode for that screen.

What has not changed

Every one of those steps came from the same Sunday morning in a church in Denmark, when a listener could not follow the translation and switched it off. We still build for her, and for everyone sitting in a room who should hear the whole message.

Thank you to every church, every pastor and every listener who used it in its first year, and told us what to make better.

A month later

By October, MulingStream was translating in churches in over 25 countries, and our own websites could be read in many more languages than a year before. Churches began inviting other churches, and a running pass could be moved from one room to another.
